Columbus Perl Mongers is the local chapter of the Perl Mongers organization.

Our purpose is to promote Perl in the community through education, discussion, and by supporting the mission of The Perl Foundation.

[ Meetings? Anybody? ]

Come join us. We're a friendly group.

Columbus.pm is proud to lend it's weight behind Columbus Code Jam, a language-agnostic hack night that occurs at 6:30pm on the last Wednesday of each month, at TechColumbus. Details and RSVP are at the Tech Life Columbus Meetup page. Click through the calendar to find the page for Code Jam.

  • Advent Planet
I have created an aggregation of all of the Computer-related Advent Calendars that have come to my attention.

I have named it Advent Planet - it is mainly built using RJBS's WWW:AdventCalendar module, and a bunch of (unreleased) code I wrote to generate the calendars into static HTML.

If you know of any advent calendars that I've missed, please let me know at adventplanet@jaffesystems.com

Last month, I touched on driving Perl with IE using the Perl IE

  • October Meeting - Open Mic Night
We'll be meeting on Thursday, October 28, from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at 2checkout HQ.

Open mic night. Mostly Perl related, but if you're brave enough to sing, I'll take it.

We're going to meet at 2checkout. Bring your laptop and some code. Share something interesting about what you're working on or just find a buddy and hack on something cool.

I'll be bringing lunch meet, etc. for sandwiches. If you think about it, bring some food or non-alcoholic drinks to share.
