I do not use Perl nearly as much as I used to. I primarily use Java at work but I have also started to dabble with Erlang, Ruby and Groovy. Most of the Perl I end up doing occurs when I help out some other groups at work with their Perl apps.

I helped a person just this past week that was hard-coding configuration information in a script. I wrote him up a quick snippet to have it read things from a configuration file. I still spend time on the #perl IRC channel.
